C is for…

So I had to leave the room in the middle of a lesson on the letter C.  I hurriedly handed our 5-year-old son a sheet of white paper and instructed him to practice writing Cs; to put as many Cs as he could on one page.  I, of course, assumed he would make his Cs in nice, even rows, from left to right and from top to bottom.

Fifteen minutes later he found me in another part of the house and showed me his Cs, above.  He said he thought he could get more on the page if he made smaller Cs inside of bigger Cs.  I’m not intending to brag on this boy of ours… just to share my wonder over two little artistic eyes through which I am discovering a whole new world.
