These 4-H Colts

COLTS

It’s hard to believe these two 4-H colts of mine are 18 and 21 years old.

Especially considering I showed them at the fair as a 2- and 5-year-old just last summer.

Ranger

Here’s Ranger and me when our world was young.

Chives

Here’s me and Chives.  We won the 2-year-old-under-saddle class the day this photo was taken.

You really feel old when you realize your horses are getting old.  The only bright side is that they’re now ready-made kid horses for our family.  And that’s what I need, considering my kids do more riding than I do at this stage of my life.
